Yunusa Gabriel Enemali, a distinguished community reporter and the pioneer president of the National Apex of Cashew Farmers, Processors, and Marketing Cooperative Ltd, paid a courtesy visit recently to Rt. Hon. David Idris Zacharias, Chairman of the House Committee on Safety Standards and Regulations.
The visit was centered on addressing critical challenges facing Nigeria’s cashew industry, particularly in relation to safety standards, regulatory frameworks, and market competitiveness. Enemali highlighted the pressing need for policies that enhance productivity, improve quality control, and strengthen Nigeria’s standing in the global cashew market.
In his response, Rt. Hon. Zacharias commended Enemali for his dedication to the agricultural sector and assured him of the committee’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote food safety, enhance export standards, and create a more favorable business environment for cashew farmers and processors.
